It's finally a wrap for Dead Friends Forever, the unique zombie thriller from Grimm Sleeper Productions! The film went into production in March of 2024 as a short film, but over the summer the project continued to grow until it was decided to turn it into a feature. In late July, the first of the film's three leads, Em Sullivan, who plays the mysterious "ghoul girl", wrapped her final scenes. She was followed by her co-star and film lead, Maddy Cox, on August 11th and Mike Psenick, who plays Ren's friend and antagonist James Cormac, on August 12th.

As the project grew, so too did the talent pool. The cast acquired a number of familiar faces to horror fans (and zombie films in particular), landing several alumni from George Romero's legendary "living dead" sequels from the 70s and 80s. Mike Ancas and Jeanie Jeffries (from Day of the Dead and Dawn of the Dead, respectfully) joined the cast in May of 2024. Michael J. Tomaso (from Day of the Dead) came aboard in May of 2025. All three of these "Romero" zombies once more donned the decaying forms of zombies. Also joining the cast for the final day of filming was Mark Tierno, another zombie alum from Day of the Dead. Unlike his former co-stars, however, Mr. Tierno avoided the zombie makeup and took on the role of Gideon Pilato, a high-ranking military officer (named in honor of the late Joseph Pilato, who played the villainous Captain Rhodes in Day of the Dead).

Dead Friends Forever now moves on to post production for the next few months. Be sure to check out the film's social media page for more exclusive images and videos from the final days of filming and for updates on the film's upcoming release!
